Volunteer at St. James

The St. James Food Pantry is in need of volunteers to help manage and distribute grocery bags twice monthly. This is an easy way to contribute to the wellbeing of those in need in our community as screened clients are distributed a bag of groceries at one of the two distributions held per month.

First and third Wednesday Opportunities

Volunteers begin filling bags at 7:30 a.m. on the distribution days and the distribution is finished by 9:00 a.m.

Tuesday before Distribution Wednesdays

Volunteers are needed to help set up the bagging assembly line between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The ability to move and rearrange bags and boxes of food is necessary.

Check our church calendar here to confirm operation and volunteer hours. Your help of any amount of time during our needed periods is welcome! Come on down to the Ministries Center during the times needed, or email Food Pantry leader Allen Paterson for more information.
