What’s a quote that motivates you throughout the day? There are two quotes that inform my days, Matthew 25:40: “Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me”, and “The past is already gone, the future is not yet here. There’s only one moment for you to live, and that is the present moment” Buddha
What’s your most memorable St. James moment? When Steve and I were confirmed and when Rosemary was confirmed.
What topic could you spend hours talking about? Old houses, (probably anything with a bit of patina), camellias, the mountains, and our daughter, my mother, father and grandmother, and politics (but I don’t talk politics …). I am a pretty boring person.
What’s on your reading list, currently? “In the Garden of the Beasts” by Erik Larson, “The Great Divorce” by CS Lewis, and “The Woman in the Window” by A.J. Finn.
What would you say/recommend to people who are interested in attending St. James? The service is beautiful with a fabulous choir. There is ample opportunity to volunteer, including outreach, pastoral care, and fellowship ministries; and the congregation is friendly and welcoming.
What’s been an unexpected benefit of quarantine? Spending hours and hours with my amazing husband. And I just took over mowing the lawn, which is a new and fun thing for me.
