Our 2026 Annual Pledging season is in full-swing and as we look to the future, we are hoping to increase our overall pledge total by 10% or more. This growth will help us: keep pace with rising costs, expand our ministries for youth and families, strengthen our fellowship opportunities, and deepen our care and support through pastoral ministry. Together, we can continue Growing for Tomorrow, Today, ensuring that our ministries remain vibrant, welcoming, and sustainable for all who come through our doors. Read Susan’s reflection below to hear how her family makes annual pledges to support St. James.

I attended St. James as a young child, grew up in Texas and came back to LSU, so it was easy for me to join St. James after college. Otey started attending with me and felt at home so he joined and was received once we were married.

Many of the important events of our life have taken place at St. James. All three of our children were baptized and confirmed here. They all attended the day school. We have so many wonderful memories of those years that enabled all of us to grow personally and spiritually. We were literally at St. James six days a week for 12 consecutive years. Our bond with each other and our faith has grown stronger every year with the love and support we receive from St. James.

We have lived a blessed life and realize that members of a church must support it financially in order for the parish to thrive. We never hesitate to give to the annual stewardship. There are so many wonderful ministries of St. James that have impactful and long-lasting effects on this community. We are happy to continue our support.

Seeing so many young families with young children at church on Sundays is refreshing and invigorating to us! It brings back so many beautiful memories and helps us know that St. James is growing and in good hands for many years to come. Investing in our church today ensures a strong and healthy tomorrow. We are committed to sharing our time, our talents, and our resources to St. James and excited about what the future will hold for the church and our family. We invite you to join us on this mission of faith.
