As announced at the Annual Parish Meeting, St. James will begin construction on phase 2 of the courtyard and columbarium renovation later this month. In early 2025, the “River Jordan” was removed, space was leveled, and a temporary landscaping installed. Using money from the “Preserving Our Past, Securing Our Future” campaign, the Vestry and Property Committee have voted to proceed with phase 2 which will include added privacy for those visiting loved ones in the columbarium, a shelter from the sun and rain, low maintenance water feature, area for private prayers, and added space for future columbarium expansion.
