Sacraments

A sacrament is an outward and visible sign of inward and spiritual grace. The two great sacraments of the Gospel, Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist, are integral parts of our life in Christ, representing our incorporation into the Body of Christ, the Church (Baptism), and the ongoing nourishment (Holy Eucharist) we receive to function as the hands and feet of Christ in the world. The other five sacraments (Confirmation, Marriage, Reconciliation, Healing, and Ordination) are additional means of experiencing God’s grace in a formal liturgical way.
